Catz Pyjamas Cafe in Highcliffe
Highcliffe high street is suddenly looking a lot more exciting. Within a few weeks, we have welcomed two new businesses to the high street: Big Wigs Bakery and Catz Pyjamas Cafe. With teachers on strike today, me and my boys hit the playground then went to Catz Pyjamas Cafe for lunch. (It’s at 318 Lymington Road, so just a stone’s throw from the park). I think the happy faces say it all!
Catz Pyjamas is owned by Tara and Warren. Their children are in Year 2 and Year 4 at Highcliffe St Mark, so they know a thing or two about creating a kid-friendly menu. They’ve done a great job of creating a fun vibe, with lots of colourful wall art inside and outside.
They sell organic, fairtrade tea and coffee which you can pre-order for quick pickup (love that). Their savoury offerings include toasties, bacon rolls and sausage rolls, but their main focus is on sweet treats and desserts. Choose from an array of cakes, pastries and cookies, or treat yourself to a milkshake, smoothie, waffle or frozen yoghurt (with toppings including fruit, fudge, chocolate, biscuit and a variety of sauces).
With free wifi, good coffee and a friendly welcome, I’ll definitely be returning. And I might just bring the boys again, if they’re lucky.
