The best places to eat vegan in Bournemouth

The best places to eat vegan in Bournemouth

More and more places are offering vegan options on their menus, but I wanted to write about the growing number of places in and around Bournemouth that are 100% plant-based; the places offering awesomely tasty food that just happens to be vegan.

Twelve Eatery - This organic, plant-based restaurant is located in the Triangle in Bournemouth town centre. Gorgeous tropical decor, good music and friendly staff make it a really lovely experience - not to mention the top notch food and cold-pressed juices. Read my review here.

Mad Cucumber - Also located in the Triangle in Bournemouth town centre, this quirky vegan lounge was founded by Kamil and Ewelina in 2013 making it the oldest vegan place in Bournemouth. Everything is made from scratch using local, seasonal and organic ingredients. From cakes and smoothies to pancakes and power bowls, they’ve got you covered.

Plant Hustler - You might know this Boscombe-based fast food joint by their previous name, Dirty Vegans. Their menu is centred around burgers, hotdogs and sides, with plenty of tasty add-ons. Biscoff shake, anyone?

Mighty Wieners - Previously operating from a trailer, Mighty Wieners is now a restaurant in Poole Hill, Bournemouth. The menu features their signature burgers, wieners, loaded fries, sides and sweet stuff - all 100% vegan. The kimchi-loaded fries (miso caramelised onions, kimchi slaw, asian pesto, crispy onions and siracha mayo) sound fiiiiiiiine.

Kind Kitchen - The Boscombe shop may have closed, but Kind Kitchen has gone mobile with their heavenly creations - all organic, plant-based and raw. Using nutrient-rich ingredients, they are all free from gluten, soy and refined sugar. Cakes, chocolate boxes, mini cheesecakes and more. (The main image is one of Kind Kitchen’s).

Green Label Kitchen - This husband and wife team cook affordable plant-based food from their 5* commercial kitchen. Free delivery within 4 miles of BH2 5QZ, or further afield for an extra charge. The menu changes daily and includes tasty dishes like chickpea tagine, turmeric and garlic couscous; mushroom stroganoff with creamy mash; and Thai peanut curry and jasmine rice. As well as main meals, they sell sweet treats, pasta sauces, dressings, soups - and more.

Now we’re heading a bit further afield, but it’s worth it… The Retreat in the New Forest is new home to award-winning Offbeet restaurant - opening in June 2021. And it’s already home to awesome plant-based cafe and Adventurous Glutton favourite Crow Spotter. (Read my review here).

Have I missed anywhere? Let me know in the comments and I’ll keep the post updated.
