I don’t know about you, but I took full advantage of the Eat Out to Help Out scheme throughout August. It was great to enjoy eating out again, and a bargain always helps the food taste that bit better. I loved seeing local places so busy - I think it was the first time I’ve seen people in Christchurch queuing out the door and round the corner on a Monday evening!

As the scheme was such a success, a number of places have kept their own version of the promotion going into September, or are offering an alternative deal. I tried to update the list of places I previously posted about within 5 miles of Highcliffe (BH23), but chasing information from 87 places was too ambitious. So here’s a list of all the places that I managed to contact - let’s support them if we can.

The Oaks - This offer is only for members of their database, so sign up to emails using this link. From Monday to Wednesday you will be able to show your unique QR code for 50% off your bill to a maximum discount value of £10 (food and non-alcoholic drinks only).

The Coffee Garden - Coffee and cake deal. Any regular coffee and slice of homemade cake for £4.60.

The Paddle - 20% off your food bill on Wednesdays & Thursdays throughout September. Booking essential. Mention discount on booking.

The Noisy Lobster - Sunday roasts starting again in September - booking essential. Three courses for £28.50 or two courses for £25.00. Kids’ roast and ice-cream for £11.50.

The Cliff House - 50% off up to £10. Pre-booked tables only, Mon-Wed until September 9th, offer available for main menu only (BBQ, sandwiches and drinks not included in the deal).

James and White - 30% off food and soft drinks with no £10 limit on Mondays and Tuesdays in September. Bookings only, booking must be made with 8 hours notice.

Cliff House Hotel - 2 for £12 on cocktails, plus a bottomless brunch on 3rd October.

Brewhouse and Kitchen - 25% off food throughout September, Monday to Wednesday.
